This canned tuna is the perfect main ingredient for delicious little recipes. When you open a can, “dinner is on the table.”

Tuna fillets, sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil and piri-piri create a delicious combination of nutritious tuna, sweet tomatoes and spicy piri-piri.

The olive oil gives the mixture a smooth mouthfeel and highlights the flavors. Ideal for salads, pasta and sandwiches.

All ingredients are canned by hand, using only machines to add oil, seal the can and sterilize.

Details

The skipjack bonito is a species commercially marketed as "tuna", although zoologically it does not belong to the genus Tuna (Thunnus), but only to the family of mackerel and tuna, which are its close relatives.

It is mainly caught near the surface, usually with purse seine or fishing rods and occasionally as bycatch on longlines.
